My prediction was wrong

I predicted that my wife would have our fifth baby on the due date given by the doctors... June 22, 2005. Well, given today's date I can say with certainty that I was way off. I am so off, in fact, that I am now revising my prediction (I can do that seeing as it is my child and this is my blog). I now predict that my wife will go into labor on June 27, 2005. Why? No reason really. I think more than anything I would like a complete work week off so a Monday morning run top the hospital would fit my plans nicely.

Otherwise, it is a "pins and needles" kind of time at the house right now. A little bit of excitement building into a great bit of anxiety. That is one of the joys of pregnancy... the adrenaline rush you get when the "moment" finally arrives. Rushing to find mom's bag, making sure you have shoes on, remembering how to get to the hospital, finding parking, and the list goes on and on. I am so ready for this child to be born yet I am felling so unprepared for him. I still need to buy a bed for my youngest daughter so I can move the new baby into the crib. I need a dresser for the new kid as well. Plus there are groceries that need to be bought and all sorts of other things that need to be done. Oh well, I guess the new kid will just have to wait.

I guess that's enough for now. See you in a few days.
